Business Intelligence

The core of the Business Intelligence area comprises of group-specific reporting and corporate planning. At the outset, the data extraction, transformation and upload (ETL) is carried out. The same procedure is carried out irrespective of the data source (either SAP or other source systems). Next, the data is processed in the SAP Business Warehouse and prepared for individual ad-hoc reports and standard reports. Subsequently, the PIKON consultants and developers compile the reports in the SAP Enterprise Portal (web application) or a classic reporting system (e.g. Business Explorer) according the customers' requirements. For the mapping of all company-wide planning processes PIKON uses both SAP BI-IP as well as Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC).

Next to the SAP BW solutions, we also implement the BusinessObjects portfolio. These products significantly enhance the SAP portfolio in the areas of implementing dashboard applications (Xcelsius), web-based reporting solutions and print-optimised reports (Crystal Reports). See references
