Report Distribution by PIKON

Problem

A number of new reports are created in each SAP ERP system, whether this is because there are no SAP standard reports or because the SAP standard reports do not suffice. Many SAP reports are of course also used.

Special field staff as well as internal employees need the same reports time and again and wish to have finished reports sent to them instead of executing them themselves.  

Employees in the field do not have regular access to their SAP system, but they can access their e-mails.

Vision

It would be much easier if constantly recurring reports were sent at regular intervals (each month or each week) in a legible format (e.g. Excel or PDF) by e-mail. It should be just as easy to set the recipients as it is the intervals and the report.

Solution

PIKON's product Report Distribution by PIKON is a tool for the distribution of reports from SAP ERP throughout the company. The reports can be distributed both in PDF and XLS format. They are simply sent as an attachment to an e-mail, allowing people to receive the reports who are not SAP users.

Requirements

• At least release 6.00 must be used.
• If the system in which Report Distribution by PIKON is used is a unicode system, SAP note 1320163 must be taken into account and implemented. That is best with the Note Assistant (SNOTE transaction). Also implement note 1278061.
• A ZRP number range must be created.
