Digital VAT reporting is one of the first steps in the \u201cMaking Tax Digital\u201d programme from His Majesty\u2019s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the tax authority for the United Kingdom. For VAT periods which begin on or after 1st<\/sup>\u00a0April\u00a02019, tax data for those periods may only be exchanged between accounting software and the tax authorities via a digital link. The \u201cPIKON integrated MTD-VAT Connector for SAP<\/a>\u201d SAP Add-on for both SAP ECC and S\/4 HANA systems now fills the gap which SAP itself leaves open in ECC and earlier S\/4HANA releases with no Cloud platform connection.<\/p>

Thanks to the streamlined on-premise installation in PIKON\u2019s namespace, our MTD-VAT Connector can be integrated seamlessly into your existing SAP ERP system. Neither a Cloud connection nor any other external software modules are required. Thanks to the MTD VAT Health Check included in the package, PIKON ensures that your system and therefore also our tool work in compliance with the Making Tax Digital regulations.<\/p>

The SAP Add-on reads all financial documents which are relevant for tax and puts them into the format required by HMRC without affecting your existing processes. It handles both authentication to the UK tax authorities and data exchange to and from HMRC. You just need the existing SAP FI data and internet access. Thanks to extensive customising, the \u201cPIKON integrated MTD-VAT Connector for SAP\u201d can be configured very flexibly and can be adjusted to work with a wide variety of different system landcapes. Transparent reporting of the sent data as well as up-to-date reports from HMRC are also an integral part of our solution.<\/p>

The interface, developed by our UX experts on the basis of SAP WebDynpro, guides the user through the various steps, from selection of the periods to be reported through to successful data transfer.<\/p>
