Originally, the deadline for compliance with CFDI 4.0 requirements was May 1, 2022. Now the deadline has been retrospectively pushed back to January 1, 2023, giving businesses more time to comply with the new e-invoicing requirements. For instance, at that time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pikon.com\/en\/blog\/mexico-sap-solution-for-complemento-de-pago-e-payment-requirement\/\">Complemento de Pago<\/a> was introduced, which was a major change for companies.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For CFDI 4.0 there will be changes in four areas:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>E-invoicing CFDI 4.0<\/strong><br \/><\/span>New version including new catalogues developed by SAT<\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Withholding tax<\/strong><br \/><\/span>Includes new field changes<\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Complemento de Pago<\/strong><br \/><\/span>A new version of the payment complement will be introduced<\/li><li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Cancellation request<\/strong><br \/><\/span>The cancellation reason field will become mandatory to fill in<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5e2a878 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5e2a878\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8e205c3\" data-id=\"8e205c3\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b689109 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b689109\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At the moment, SAP is developing its SAP Document <span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">&amp; Reporting<\/span> Compliance solution for Mexico to ensure compliance with the update to CFDI 4.0.
