Therefore, the Croatian government made the use of structured electronic invoices mandatory from July 2019 for all B2G transactions. From this date on, businesses can participate in B2B E-invoicing on a voluntary base. This means that businesses have the option to make use of electronic invoices (while paper invoices are also allowed) which is still not mandatory \u2013 but strongly recommended. However, at the beginning of 2024, the Croatian Ministry of Finance announced that B2B E-invoicing will become mandatory for all VAT-registered businesses from <strong>1st January 2026<\/strong>. Making the use of electronic invoices mandatory for B2B transactions requires some relevant aspects to make the B2B E-invoicing process work correctly. Some of these relevant aspects are listed below:<\/p><ul><li>The government platform for B2B E-invoicing is called <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.moj-eracun.hr\/\">eRa\u010dun<\/a> (Servis eRa\u010dun za dr\u017eavu)<\/li><li>Croatia aligns with the EU e-invoicing standard <strong data-start=\"1546\" data-end=\"1558\">EN 16931<\/strong>; in practice invoices are exchanged via <strong data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1609\">Peppol<\/strong> using <strong data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1627\">UBL 2.1<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1648\">UN\/CEFACT CII<\/strong> syntaxes (country-specific CIUS constraints may apply).<\/li><li>All resident and VAT-registered taxpayers are in scope<\/li><li>Only domestic transactions are in scope<\/li><li>The required electronic invoice format is the XML format<\/li><li>Archiving will be done by the government platform for 11 years<\/li><li>Further updates will be delivered during 2025 with tests planned from <strong>1 Sep 2025<\/strong><\/li><li>SAP solution for ECC and S\/4HANA is planned for <strong>30.10.2025<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-0019f7a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"0019f7a\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0fe8c6d\" data-id=\"0fe8c6d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f2e163f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f2e163f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The role of the FINA agency<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-dc5c1b6 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"dc5c1b6\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-07f96e1\" data-id=\"07f96e1\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7599727 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7599727\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The transmission of electronic invoices through Croatia\u00b4s government platform (eRa\u010dun) will be managed by the FINA agency.
