Belgium is enforcing mandatory B2B e-invoicing from January 1, 2026, requiring businesses to transition to structured electronic invoices via the PEPPOL network. This regulatory shift aligns with the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) initiative, driving automation, compliance, and real-time tax reporting. By 2028, near-live e-reporting will replace traditional sales listings, further increasing VAT transparency and efficiency.
